When asked by opinion researchers 77% of the Berliners said, if they could choose, they would rather vote for an IKEA mall at Schlossplatz than for a reconstructed city palace. How comes that people think like that? Most of them argue that they feel more related to IKEA and its positive image, rather than to something outdated, excessive and elitist like the Stadtschloss.
